The Bush Backyard Woodworking is a local Handcrafting Wood-shop. We offer high end handmade products harvested and constructed from our backyard here in the heart of Coastal Mountain Range. Our team of long time local Whistlerites seek to spread their passion creating unique pieces with local materials from our backyard to your home.
Playing with resin is really quite fun but it’s important to remember to respect the wood. I always strive to remember to not allow the epoxy to take away from the beautiful grain patterns and the simplicity of these beautiful hardwoods/
This beautiful Arbutus tree, or Pacific Madrone, is native to the West Coast and is never more than a few kilometres from the ocean.
Finding this arbutus stump bobbing in the tides inspired me to preserve it where it had been found after being landlocked for its entire living life constantly watching over the ocean. After drying it out for several months, I decided to place it back in the ocean by surrounding each round in blue ocean like resin.
Simplistic serving trays are always a must.
Coming in Maple, Walnut and Cherry, these boards are perfect for cutting and displaying. A simple yet effective design you cannot go wrong with at any dinner, picnic or potlatch.
These unique pieces are the perfect centre piece for any relaxing evening in front of the fire with loved ones.
After many amazing harvests, this cherry tree had reached its time and had to be cut down. Each harvest brought many joys so capturing this nostalgia in a cribbage board for a new generation to experience seemed right.
The Board that started it all.
